Now that UNAIDS have allocated core funding to APNSW, Last month, we moved into our new offices located in Soi Sailom on Paholyothin Road, close to Ari BTS station. It is a fabulous space (naturally). It has several small offices for staff members to utilize as well as an attractive entrance area, reception, and functional kitchen.
The best feature has to be the fantastic meeting room which can hold about thirty people and is fully equipped with whiteboards which are mounted around the walls. It will be much easier for us to run workshops and larger meetings from our office space, rather than having to rent function rooms wherever we can find them.
Last month, while the Policy and Program Committee met in Bangkok, we took the opportunity to throw a small office-warming, before they left for their home countries. In attendance were staff from our sister NGOs in Bangkok, as well as a few UN staffers.
All in all, it was a great night and after years of working from Andrew and Dale’s house, we at the APNSW secretariat are thrilled to be finally working from a fully functional office.
